Young cattle fattening

On its own farms in Brođanci and Habjanovci, PPK Valpovo fattens around 1,500 head of young cattle per year, primarily of beef crossbreeds. Fodder for such production is produced on arable land near the farms, while manure from the farms is used to improve the structure and quality of soil used for crop farming. We are one-of-a-kind in Croatia because we fatten the largest number of calves bred in Croatia, in the cow–calf operation of PP Orahovica.

In addition to our own production, we also cooperate with other producers of fattening young cattle through the cooperative model. For our cooperating partners, we procure top-quality fattening calves and offer high-quality cooperation models, as well as support.

Cow–calf operation

In the cow–calf operation on the farm in Zelčin, we rear calves of beef breeds, primarily Charolais and Limousin. The Zelčin farm is focused on production of top-quality genetics of beef breeds, and our objective in this production is to rear top-class breeding heifers and bulls.
